Lead Keita Interview

To celebrate the 2nd anniversary of the opening of the PONYCANYON SHOP, we have published interviews with artists whose products are sold in the store. Keita reveals his favorite items purchased overseas.

Q1. Tell us about your favorite memory from Asia so far.
The first place we ever went to overseas was Taiwan. It's also the overseas location we went to the most. We have so many fans there that I'm always very thankful and I really love that place.

Q2.What city in Asia do you most want to visit right now and why?
Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, the Philippines, and Malaysia are all places I'd like to go. I really want to go to all of these places where people are waiting for us and thank them in person.

Q3.Please tell us about your favorite souvenir that you bought in another country.
The first time we went to Taiwan as a group was in summer 2004. We had a street performance at Ximending, and it's a really special place for us. I remember being super surprised at how many fans showed up there. Two years later, we went back there, and we even took a commemorative photo there. My mind was flooded with memories then and I remember my heart just dancing. ♪ I went to a nearby shoe store and bought some adidas shoes while I was enjoying all of the nostalgia. I still actually use those shoes as dance shoes. ♪

Q4 What sort of events would you like to participate in while overseas?
Concerts! Concerts! Concerts!! Once things finally calm down from this current situation and we can interact with our fans again, I want to perform and personally give everyone a passionate handshake! I would love to look everyone in the eyes and tell them, "Thank you! I hope you'll continue supporting us. ♪" ^_^
