The film won first place in the Filmarks first day satisfaction ranking. In spite of the COVID-19 pandemic, many fans repeated watching the movie, creating a whirlwind all over the country.

Movie "Fishmans" Synopsis
In Tokyo at the end of the 20th century, the Fishmans were the alone band that pursued pure music. They are highly acclaimed both in Japan and abroad, but their journey has been anything but smooth. Sluggish sales. They moved record companies. One member after another left the band. The sudden death of vocalist Shinji Sato ....... The band's leader, Kenichi Motegi, was left on his own and called on his friends who had left to restart the band. In the spring of 2019, the 20th anniversary of Shinji Sato's death, the Fishmans head to the stage with a special determination. The members of Fishmans and gorgeous artists such as Ikuko Harada (Clammbon), Hanaregumi, UA, YO-KING (Magokoro Brothers), and Kazufumi Kodama will talk about the band's journey from its formation to the present, and their passion for music. It also includes a lot of treasured footage that was kept by the people involved. This is an unprecedented 172 minutes of music documentary and a full-length work.
